Muhammed Dodo Jatta was born in 1985 at Bakau. During his secondary schooltime Baboucarr Etu Ndow introduced him into arts. Etu inspired Dodo and made him interested in developing his art skills. After senior secondary school in Bakau (2006) he started studying practical in painting and housing decoration to develop his skills. In 2012 Dodo came to Tiunbung Art Village to stay there and support Etu with his workshops. At that time he also started making his own paintings. After the sudden death of Etu in 2014 Dodo continued Etu’s work in Tunbung Art Village by organizing and leading workshops in different arts like painting, batik, tie dye. Dodo is still painting. We have an exhibition of the works from Dodo.

We start with coffee/tea and talk about the history of art and craft in the Gambia by Dodo.
During the workshop participants will be provided with the materials needed for the workshop.
Participants are also free to bring along their own art materials too.
Coffee, tea and fruits will be provided by the art village during your break.
Price of all workshops is € 50,- per person (in € or Dalasi (daily exchange rate)) and is based on a half day workshop and a minimum of 2 persons.
It is also possible to come alone or with more than 2 persons, a full day workshop (including lunch) or anything else you want. For all your wishes ask for the price.

BATIK

one color batik. It is also possible to use more than one color. In that case you need a full day workshop. We will charge you extra depending on how many colors you want.
