Be part of the Gambian life and experience by making a Gambian dish by yourself.
Take the recipe home, surprise your family and friends with your Gambian dish and remind your holiday when you are back home.
We start, together with you, at the local market to buy the ingredients that we will need for the food of your choice like Yassa, Domoda, Benachin (Chicken / Fish / Meat / Vegetarian).
When we come back home from the market we will start cooking in the local way. Serve lunch and enjoy the food.
Price of a whole day (from 8.00 am till 16.00 pm) traditional cooking class is € 50,- in € or dalasi (daily exchange rate) including 2 drinks, a bottle of water, trip to the market and your own home made Gambian dish.
To prepare the classes we like to know in advance which dish you want to cook and if applicable your special dietary requirements.
Do you want to come with more persons? We can reduce the price.
It you also want to make a local juice like Wonjo, Bouii, Ginger, Ditta we charge you a surcharge.
In case you don’t stay with us we can also arrange transport to pick you up and bring you back to your guesthouse/hotel.
